Speaking at the 1st Houston Dynamic Languages User Group
Tuesday, December 15 2009 1 Comment
I’ve been invited to give the first presentation to the Houston Dynamic Languages User Group. See the announcement here.
I’ll be speaking about the Ruby language, Ruby on Rails, as well of some interesting points about the Heroku environment for cloud-based scalable hosting. This talk will be focused at looking at Ruby from a .NET developer’s perspective. We’ll also talk about IronRuby, and how you can leverage the Ruby language amongst pure .NET shops.
The meeting will take place at the Microsoft Offices in Houston, on Tuesday, January 5th from 6:30 to 9-ish. Catapult will be providing pizza!
Hope to see you there!

I'm totally coming to this as I'm interested in getting back into web development and I've been thinking about doing that using RoR.
