How Does YouTube Handle It?

I ran across an excellent read about how YouTube's architecture handles so much bandwidth and traffic.

The core of it is:

• SuSe Linux
• Apache + lighttpd (for videos only)
• Python + C extensions for expensive operations
• Lots of caching
